Doro AUB300i technical information for the installer

The Doro AUB300i is constructed to be used behind a PABX United States and intended to be driven by the line current from the PABX. (Usually no need for mains power adaptor or batteries).

It’s not approved to be used on a European PSTN network if used without mains power adaptor.

Technical requirement when the AUB300i is driven by the line on the PABX (no mains power adapter or battery installed):
1. Line current:
A. ≥ 20mA
B. If message waiting isn’t used: ≥ 12mA

2. The PABX must accept a DC resistant ON-HOOK at ~ 600kohm. The TBR21 requirement is >1Mohm. There is a very little risk that this could be a problem. The problem that could be present is that the PABX can’t detect on or off-hook status.

3. The PABX must accept a higher than normal Transient Response during the first milliseconds after first connection. This could only be a problem at limited amount of PABX’s if many AUB300i are connected at exactly the same time.

Technical requirement when the AUB300i is driven by mains power adaptor or battery:
1. TBR21/38

At installation locations with line current lower than 20mA
If the line power is ≤ 20mA it’s advised to use mains power adaptor or battery. The battery life is dependant on amount of incoming calls and type of battery. We recommend 3x AA 1,5V good quality batteries.
