Wigo Hair Straightener

Hohner Tango III model, year of construction: approx. Hohner Akkordeon

The series of the TANGO I, II, III , IV and VI Appear already in the first time in the sale catalogues of the year 1935. The a. m. accordion is a further interesting model, that was characterized by the fantasy of the constructors of the pre-war period.

In the part of the descant are located 41 piano keys, 1 push switch and 3 reed blocks (3 voices). The bass owns 120 buttons and 3 reed blocks i. e., 5 voices.

The instrument was probably manufactured only a short time; a model nearly not to find in auctions. Accordions with this name appear however still in the sale catalogues of the following decades until the early 1990s.

TANGO – that synonym of large sales records.

The renovation of this accordion required a lot of time and energy. At the time of delivery it was found in a pitiful condition. A part of the blue bellows was sticked trough i. e., the cardbox had to be renewed. A problem. Finally we found exactly the same coloured card in a stationers shop. With that, the bellows could be mended and sticked with new Kaliko. The sound of this instrument however remembered to caterwauling. Therefore we were compelled to clean all the 183 reed plates (in the tiple and the bass part) inside and outside i. e., new valves had to be sticked on them. After that, they had to be waxed again into the reed-blocks. With these actions, we succeeded in getting the instrument it's normal tuning i.e., we gave him a new life.

Hohner Modell TANGO III, built around 1935

The Tango Series I, II, III, IV and VI, appears for the first time in the sales catalogs of 1935. The aforementioned accordion is another interesting model, which is of the artistic imagination of the builders of the pre-war period marked.

Diskantteil are in the 41 piano keys, 1 handball register and 3 pin blocks (3 reeds). The bass has 120 buttons and 3 reed blocks, which have 5 choirs.

It was probably made only a short time, a less frequently encountered in the auctions end model. Accordion with the name but appeared also in the sale catalogs subsequent decades, until the early 90s.

TANGO - the synonym of a great sales success.

required the renovation of accordions a very high repair and time. On delivery it was in a pitiful state. A portion of the blue bellows was back pierced ie, the cardboard had to be renewed. A problem. Finally, we found the exact color cardboard box in a stationery store. The bellows patched and could therefore be stuck with a new calico. The sound of the instrument but still remembered in a short concert. So we were all forced reeds (183) of the treble and bass part from the outside and the inside cleaned, fitted with new valves und wieder in die Stimmstöcke einzuwachsen. It should give Aktionen Mit uns auch gelang, dem die normale Instrument Stimmung zu geben, dh, einzuhauchen ihm wieder neues Leben.

TANGO - the synonymous with a bestseller.

The renewal of this accordion required much time and energy. The time of delivery was in a miserable condition. Part of blue bellows was drilled, it was said that the board had to restore - a problem. Finally, this board was found in a stationery shop. With that, the bellows was patched up and stuck with Kaliko in wrinkles. The sound, however, remembered the music even mousetraps. Therefore we were forced to clean all reeds (183) and off in the treble and bass, giving those with valves and "weld" again voices in the media. Salieri Films Streaming Online

1935 - Modell Organetta III, 1938

Dieses Fällt Akkordeon by its unusual shape. For delivery, we have received it in very good condition for its age. This instrument is a real eye-catcher and definitely embodies the most beautiful jewel in our collection. It has 41 treble keys with 3 votes plants / choirs and 120 buttons with 5 voices in the bass part. It also is equipped with a thumb through the operating treble.

On 30 June 1938, ie before the second world war, it became like us, the manufacturer also confirmed in writing, sent to a music store in Leipzig. There was a man who made his living as a clown in a circus with this instrument for his family, purchased. In this family it remained until we were able to obtain this.

This accordion-type, that is, with this curved keyboard was only in 1932 - made 1938th Production was stopped probably because of high production costs, which is not surprising when one considers the ergonomic shape of the fingerboard and the shaping of the Clavishebel whose production must have been probably very time consuming. We all saw a lot of work needed for artistic handicrafts and were therefore likely production costs are not more of a competitive and / or market-driven pricing policy could be taken, or met.

Hohner Accordion - Model Organetta III, 1938

This accordion has an outstanding appearance. After receipt, it was deemed to be in an excellent condition for its age. This instrument is a perfect eye-catcher and represents ultimately the nicest jewel in our collection. It has 41 treble keys with 3 voices and 120 bass keys with 5 voices. Furthermore it is equipped with a push switch, to be used through the thumb ball.

On June, 30th. in 1938, still before the second world war, it was sent – as we got confirmed by the manufacturer – to a musical shop in Leipzig. There it was bought from a man who performed as clown in a circus to earn the livelihood for his family and it remained there before we succeeded in buying it this year.

This type of accordion i. e., with this oscillated keyboard, got only manufactured between the years 1932 and 1938. The production was terminated because the manufacturing cost was probably, due to the ergonomic shape, extremely time-consuming and with that, too expensive. In addition to that,  a lot of work was done by hand and also artistic work and with that the high manufacturing cost presumably no longer could meet with a competitive and marketable pricing policy.

Hohner Acordeón - Model Organetto III, 1938

This accordion has a special appearance. Since delivering what we consider as an instrument in excellent condition for its age. It is a perfect "feast for the eyes" and the most beautiful representea jewel of our collection. It has 41 keys with 3 voices / chorus and 120 bass buttons with 5 voices / choirs. It is also equipped with a push that can be used for the thumb ball.

The June 30 in 1938, even before the second war of the mondo, the instrument was sent by a music house in Leipzig / Germany. This could also be confirmed by sending manufacturing German. There it was bought from a man who entered the scene as a clown to win the substisencia for his family. This accordion survived all the trouble in the same family. Fortunately this year we received the unique ROLLS buy that.

This type of accordion with this keyboard osciliante, diseñano like a wing, was made only in the years 1932 to 1938. The production was terminated because production costs were probably been caused by the ergonomically shaped keyboard too high. In addition to that, a lot of work was worked by hand and also artisans work. I mean, that high manufacturing costs pudieron probablemente ya no mas largo llenar todos los requisitos de un competitivo y vendible política tarífaria.

How Long Does Shiraz Last Unopened

Hohner Accordion, Grand Model ", approx. Hohner Accordion

It's a pity, but this accordion contains no name or any type of description. Probably it was made at the end of the thirties (1937 ?). It has 41 treble keys as 120 bass keys and a push switch for the thumb ball. This switch / register serves for the combination of 4th reed block with the others. As a model with 4 reeds in the treble it was meant to be for professional use, already by that time.

Since 1937, similar models were also exported into the USA with following numbers and descriptions:

a) 330 Collegiate Model, with 34 treble keys  and 48 bass keys,
b) 340 Baby Grand Model, with 34 treble keys and 80 bass keys.

By the way, the retail price for the No. 330 amounted to $135,-, for the No. 340 = $ 165,-.

The a. m. model was at the time of purchase in a very bad condition. Him got lost almost all the reeds in the treble as well as in the bass part. Furthermore we missed among other things the straps-holders and the Kaliko of the bellows. Finally we did succeed in doing the repairs with the aid of an old, broken Verdi IV model from that we took away the reeds, cleaned and covered them with new plastic valves. The reeds, similar to the construction series, could now again be re-implanted into the other model. Naturally these repairs required, starting from the receipt of the spare parts until completion, a lot of time, labour and patience. Finally this patience however got rewarded suitably, as these photos impressively show.

Hohner Akkordeon, Grand Model ?, ca. 1937

Dieses Akkordeon trägt leider keinen Namen oder eine Typenbezeichnung. Wahrscheinlich wurde es aber Ende der dreissiger (1937 ?) built. It has 41 treble keys, 120 bass buttons and a thumb-index, at the discretion of the fourth Chorus can be added.
As vierchöriges model, it was probably already at that time for professional use.

Similar models were also from 1937, exports to the United States, with the following numbers and names:

a) 330 Collegiate Model, with 34 keys and 48 bass buttons,
b) 340 Baby Grand Model, with 34 keys and 80 bass buttons.

The purchase price for the no. 330 by the way was $ 135, - for the no. 340 = $ 165, -.

The above model was the purchase in a deplorable state. So he lacked almost completely the reed blocks in the treble and the bass part. Also were missing include the belt holder and the calico on the bellows. The repairs we was only using a 4-course old, broken VERDI IV model, which we took the reed blocks, they cleaned, re-occupied and the other model, there could insert the same series. Of course, these repairs were, from procurement of spare parts to completion much time, effort and patience. Ultimately, this patience was, however, as also shown in the photos are rewarded accordingly.

Hohner Accordion - Grand Model?, Approx. 1937

is a pity, but this accordion has no name and does not contain a type of description. It was probably made at the end of the Thirties (1937?) In the last century. It has 41 treble keys, 120 bass keys and a push for the thumb ball. This record is for the combination of 4 with the other voice. This model has already been established for professional use.

Since 1937, similar models were also exported to the United States following numbers and descriptions:

a) 330 Collegiate Model, with 34 keys and 48 bass buttons
b) 340 Baby Grand Model, with 34 keys and 80 bass buttons.

Moreover, the selling price for the Model No. 330 amounted to $ 135, - and the Model No. 340 = $ 165, -.

The above model, was at the time of purchase in a desperate condition. A lost almost all voices in the treble and the bass part. You missed the belts, their supports and Kaliko the bellows. Finally, in any case, we were successful with the repair, also finally with the help of an old, broken Verdi IV model of that we took away the voices, cleaned and covered them with new plastic valves. The voices of the same series of construction, were reimplatado in the other model. Naturally, these repairs, from purchase to completion, cost us much time, labor and patience. Finally, this patient but was rewarded, as the photos show us.

Why Does Alabama Not Put Logo On Helmet

Prologue - How it started!

My enthusiasm to play accordion aroused through a waltz melody, that I dreamed one night. Later on, I experienced the title of that melody; it was a French musette waltz, the „Valse Brune“. This dream provoked inside me the desire to be able to play the accordion.

Short time after I bought a China‘s made accordion with 48 basses. For me a total mistake. After that I went into a music shop to receive some advices – a second mistake, because that shop sold me a “Parrot”, out of tune. Also the following instruments did not meet with my approval. With that experience, I sold all of them, but my claims of quality rose with each new acquisition. Today I prefer to practice with my „Excelsior“ type 304 BC in spite of all the other also modern models. But this preference does not prevent me from my enthusiasm for old resp. older accordions / harmonicas.

I share that enthusiasm with my husband who than was and still is obliged to repair the many old accordions which we gathered through the years. An often very difficult task, as most of the accordions showed strong signs of use, external filthy, internal damned dusty and sticked with old wax, affected by mould and moths. Not to mention the obtaining of original spare-parts. Very often it was no more possible and so we had to pick up the parts from similar models. The most work however had to be done by cleaning of treble / bass-reeds and their covering with new plastic valves. An unbelievable sticky work that had required many working hours. After completion however we were rewarded through the enchanting tone colour that come from each of these nice old instruments.

Although often meant to death, this instrument experienced a remarkable „Renaissance“, that makes an appearance in many different music-styles and directions. In the meantime many national and international bands have joint this movement and each of them plays now its own style.

So old but nevertheless so young, there remains the question:

What kind of instrument has more wrinkles than an accordion?!

Prologue - How it all started!

My enthusiasm for the accordion was triggered by a waltz tune, I dreamed one night. Only later I found out the title of this melody, it was a French musette waltz, "Valse Brune. This dream unfolded in my desire to play the accordion.

Shortly after I bought an accordion with 48 bass, a total mistake. Then I went into a music store for advice. There turned to me a "Parrot", which was put out on. The 2nd Mistake - also sold. This was followed by other Chinese accordion models with which I was not satisfied. From most of these instruments I have in the meantime, however, parted again. With each new purchase, however, increased the quality requirements and the purchase prices. Today I prefer to pure exercise purposes, an Excelsior Type 304 BC all the others, including modern models. This preference does not prevent me from myself to care for old or older accordion / harmonica.

This enthusiasm I share with my husband, upon whom the task of all the many old instruments that were accumulating over the years to an impressive collection to repair. This was usually a difficult task, since most of the accordion had strong signs of wear, dirty outside, inside very dusty, the wax stuck, were attacked by mildew and moths. Not to mention the procurement of original spare parts. Often these were not available anymore and so the parts had to work on their own "customized" or other similar models are removed. Most work, however, required to clean the reeds and the assignment of these boards with new valves. A very dirty and sticky work to be very many hours of work cost. Upon completion, we were, however, are rewarded by a unique timbre, which has each of these fine old instruments.

Although already dead, said the accordion experienced a remarkable "Renaissance", which occurs in many musical styles and directions in appearance. In the meantime, many national and international bands of this movement are followed. All bands play their own style now.

old So and so young, is to ask only:

What instrument has more wrinkles than an accordion?

This I dream (dream) resulted in me the desire to play the accordion.

A little later he bought an accordion made in China with 48 features. To me, a total error. Then I went to a music store to receive instructions about - the lack secondly, because the store sold me an instrument of tune. Nor FOLLOWING accordions were not very popular. With these experiences I sold all my accordion, but in reference exisgencias quality is increased with each new acquisition. Nowadays I prefer to test with my "Excelsior" Type 304 BC although others also modern models. But this preference does not distract me from my excitement I feel for the old accordion / harmonica.

share this enthusiasm with my husband since the beginning, it was and is still required to repair these many old accordions, we collect over the years. The repair is often a very difficult task, because most of the accordions had shown strong signs of use, dirty outside, inside and glued damn dusty old wax, full of mold and pollilas. Not to mention the collection of original spare parts. Often it was nothing more possible purchase. So we had to create the items required by our works or extract something propria similar models. The main work - however - was the cleaning of plates / sheets whose voices and covered with new plastic valves. A special task exigigio pegayosa that many hours (weeks) of work. After completion - in all cases - we were rewarded by a haunting timbre that comes from each of you are old and beautiful instruments.

Although this instrument and was often left for dead. The accordion, however, undergoes a remarkable "Renaissance", which manifests itself in many styles and directions of music, played by many different bands throughout the world.

Both old but sin embargo tan joven quedarse la pregunta:

Que instrumento tiene mas arrugas que un acordeón ?!
